A & N Foundation Launches with Support for “Project Two Thousand Balls” and Uplifts Over 350 Beneficiaries

The Aboagye and Njiandoh (A & N) Foundation marked a momentous milestone with the successful launch of its philanthropic initiative at the Koforidua Appenteng Hall on Friday, July 4, 2025. The inaugural event, themed around community empowerment and inclusion, underscored the Foundation’s commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of the marginalized — particularly widows and persons living with disabilities.

The launch was headlined by the Foundation’s support for the ambitious “Project Two Thousand Balls”, an initiative aimed at promoting table tennis development and healthy recreation among the youth and sports enthusiasts in the Eastern Region. In line with this, the A & N Foundation donated 500 table tennis balls to the New Juaben Table Tennis Club, one of the region’s leading sports organizations. This donation represents a major step toward the project’s broader goal of distributing 2,000 balls to clubs and institutions across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Nana Asante Boateng I, the Akwandum Nkosouhene and a director of both the A & N Foundation and the New Juaben Table Tennis Club, emphasized the transformative power of sports and community engagement. He highlighted how initiatives like Project Two Thousand Balls serve as a bridge between social impact and youth development.

Joining him was Mr. Ernest Wiredu, another director of both organizations, who echoed the importance of using sports as a tool for unity, discipline, and social progress. Their dual roles within the Foundation and the sports club reflect a shared vision for grassroots development and inclusive outreach.

In a heartfelt display of compassion and community support, the Foundation also distributed various forms of assistance to over 350 widows and individuals with disabilities. The beneficiaries received essential packages, including food items, clothing, and educational materials designed to encourage continuous learning and personal development. These acts of kindness were met with overwhelming appreciation and emotional gratitude from the attendees.

Delivering his keynote address, Mr. Aboagye, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, reaffirmed the organization’s long-term commitment to social welfare. “This is not a one-time event,” he assured. “What we’ve started today is a journey of consistent support and meaningful engagement. The A & N Foundation is here to stand with our communities, especially those who have been underserved for too long.”

With a vision rooted in compassion, empowerment, and unity, the A & N Foundation is poised to become a beacon of hope across the region and beyond. The launch event not only signaled the beginning of its noble journey but also set a precedent for impactful partnerships and sustainable community initiatives.
